Two FREE Workshops on Monitoring the Future Data: Registration Deadlines 4/5 and 5/10

Since 1975, the Monitoring the Future (MTF) project has collected data from nationally representative samples of high school seniors, and added 8th and 10th graders to the study in 1991. Every year, approximately 50,000 students answer questions related to their attitudes towards drug use, government, race relations, educational and occupational aspirations, and more.

The MTF project also includes a longitudinal panel study component, now spanning ages 19-65. A subsample of about 2,450 high school seniors from each cohort since 1976 are selected and followed into adulthood. The panel surveys cover similar topics as the high school surveys with additional age-relevant questions on life events, drug use, and health.

We're offering two workshops this year: an introductory workshop on May 20-22, and an advanced workshop on June 24-26. Both of these workshops are in person only, but free to attend for admitted participants.

Application deadlines for these workshops:

Introductory, April 5, 2024

Advanced, May 10, 2024

Both workshops will be in Ann Arbor, MI, in person only.

To register, visit the ICPSR Summer Program application portal.
